Hello! If you are browsing our website, you probably want to know something more about me. Perhaps you are curious to know what my weird last name means? Well, “Cavallini” translated into English means “Little Horses”. Interesting!! I was born in Milan around 25 years ago!! I lived in the surrounding area of Milan for a long time and in 2009 I met Federica, my partner in crime. She came to live in the flat under mine — it was obvious she could not resist my charm and after a couple of weeks we were dating :)!
In 2011, we moved to Lake Garda, where Federica was born, and in 2014 we were married there.
We moved to Hull in 2015, driving through Europe in one of the hottest summers ever, in our old, overloaded car taking our cat and dog with us! In 2016, we started our business in wedding photography "Stefano Cavallini Photography".
My passion forwedding photography was born while I worked as videographer. It was a cool job but soon I noticed I was more fascinated by still pictures which I consider more poetic.
However, photography is not my first love. In fact, my first love is music! I play piano and bass guitar, not so often now as weddings keeps me busy (thankfully), but as often as I can, I love playing! I have also had experience in the direction and arrangements of choirs. The last one was here in England in 2018.
As a real Italian guy, I love food! I like cooking but I prefer eating :)! My favourite dishes are pasta alla Carbonara and pizza! Obviously, it can't beat a good wine, or even better, beer! Yes beer, another big love of mine!
I am a country guy who loves nature, nice landscapes, animals (particularly dogs and cats), who gets moved by a sunset (I would me moved by a sunrise too, but I am too lazy to wake up early enough to catch one!). I like being with people but sometimes I also enjoy being alone.
I have a good sense of humour and the couples that choose us know this — they consider it a strength as this allows them to feel more comfortable and enhances the quality of the service we deliver!
Federica
Hello — Nice to meet you! First of all... Stefano is definitely not 25 years old! Neither am I unfortunately... But our spirit is sort of that age :-)
He has already told most of our story, so I will just tell you a bit about myself.
My dad was a weddingphotographer too, so I started holding a camera when I was very young. I still remember a school trip when I was 7-8, proudly changing the film in the camera (yes, no digital cameras back then!) for all my classmates.
I worked as a videographer too, to help my dad while I was at university studying to become a pharmacist (which is actually my main job now).
What can I say? I love science! Speaking about things I love (apart from Stefano), I am very fond of volleyball. I played at amateur level for many years, and back in Italy I was a national referee too.
I play a bit of piano, but Stefano is a lot better than me, definitely the artist in the house. I am a terrible Italian as I don't drink coffee or wine (my dad wonders if I am really his daughter sometimes...), but I love pizza and carbonara too (guess what we eat a lot at home...).
In our wedding photography adventure I am what Stefano is not and vice versa. That is why we are such a good team. First of all, I am a woman, with different and complementary views on things; very helpful when we speak about catching details in our story telling of a wedding day. I am also the organised mind, I like planning ahead, so you will have me asking details about your big day as I want to be well-prepared.
I get very involved with every wedding, and I end up in tears of joy all the time....!
